AOpen 1640 Pro DVD ROM Review

I tested the AOpen 1640 DVD using SiSofts Sandra. I did two test, one with Mission Impossible 2 DVD and another with Quake 3. As you can see the results kick ass.

 

 

 

Conclusion

 

The distance that DVD ROM has come over the years and the growing size we require for our games / programs etc it would be silly not to consider a DVD ROM as a necessary component for your system. DVD movies are making their mark in the world while growing rapidly in more households daily, the PowerDVD along with the AOpen 1640 makes watching DVD movies a pleasure.

Given the price and performance of the AOpen 1640 I would say this is a must and I strongly recommend this drive to anyone either upgrading or purchasing a computer.

I hit "Starbucks" after the benchmarking and tried to think over a coffee any “Cons” with this drive and for the life of me I could not muster up anything. Given this, I am not going to include “Pros”& “Cons” as a part of this review, instead I am giving it a...
